Bravery and strength can grow and fluctuate in intensity.
Watching students grow over time is a privilege and gift of teaching. I only get to teach if students come back and continue to come back.
These two spirits have kept coming back to their yoga through life stages and challenges, through different kinds of classes, different physical abilities and moods. Even a pandemic.
Continuing (tapas in the yoga niyamas) is brave. Continuing is strength.
And it shows. Not just by doing headstands.
It shows in each of these yogini’s acceptance of self and others. It shows in their willingness to step into the truth of their practice that day, letting go of the past and not putting undue expectations on the future.

It shows in their playfulness, their joy, their kindness through the messiness and the beauty.
Way to go Ana Tefft and Laurel Tilot-Jezowski.
Thanks for sharing your practice, bravery and strength with me, with us.
